The Bible teaches us that our purpose is tied to our presence. God could have made us disembodied souls. But instead he gave us a body and a place for that body to be.
All throughout the scripture we see God moving people to fulfill his purposes: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, the Children of Israel… Jesus.
